Hello everyone. Welcome to my first blog post.
My name is Behadir, I’m 31 years old. A road traffic engineera husband and father of two children, a son and a daughter. I spend most of my time doing freelancing in a wonderful world of bees.
I’m from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a small country that has a big heart. Do you know anything about Bosnia? Have you ever visited BiH? BiH is mostly known as a war-stricken country. Most of people are probably familiar with the Srebrenica genocide that happened in 1995. We must neither forget nor forgive such events. However, there are many beautiful, everyday things this country has to offer: places to visit, diverse cuisine to taste, wonderful people to meet.
I will do my best to write about these occasionally, so you could have a better insight and be more familiar with the country I’m from and its people.
Why I Started This Blog?
First blog is always most difficult to write. The second one and others to follow will be easier to write, I’m sure of it. I have many things to write about, but I do not want to be hard on you. I want you to come visit my blog and follow my work.
It may sound almost unthinkable for a person to work at an international airport full-time, IT jobs at home and having interest in beekeeping. I can always find a way to rest from a busy everyday schedule, relax, find new energy, inner strength and will.
I’m a huge fan of nature. As a boy, I used to spend whole days outside, in the forests, playing different games, spending time with animals that my parents owned. I found great pleasure in helping with the nature-related tasks. So, it is not surprising that I chose to pursue beekeeping, as this gained habit helped me a lot in making such a decision.
When my son took his first steps, we used to spend more time in nature exploring its gifts. Indeed, our little ones can teach us many things. His most favorite thing was observing bees. He wanted to be as close as possible to them, without any fear. We took many photographs, and the love towards bees grew stronger each day.
I have spent hours reading literature about bees, their features, their hard work and the valuable role they play in nature and the people.
With the help of more experienced beekeepers, I have laid the groundworks and collected all the necessary materials. My beekeeping adventure started four years ago. I must admit, this was the best decision I have made lately.
Contrary to rumors, bees do not sting for fun. We should not run away from them. They play a very important role in our everyday life. Unfortunately, we are not aware of this fact most of the times.
Bee population worldwide is decreasing every day. People and the human factor make a major contribution to this.
Due to their immense value to nature and people, I have decided to write about it in my blog. I want to familiarize the people all around the globe with the beautiful world of bees. I also wish to help raise awareness about these small creatures that help us in saving our planet.

As I already announced, I will write about bees and beekeeping in general, my beginnings, studies, work and improvements. I will share everything I’m familiar with, which I believe to be important for beginners in beekeeping. I will discuss how bees represent a valuable key for our planet. I will share my honey-based recipes and some creative ways and ideas on how bee wax can be used.
I would be very happy if I can help you in overcoming fear of bees. This will be one of the topics I will cover. There will be some stings, but of friendly nature.
